Our bases are completely machined ready for mold and tool makers for final assembly. We specialize in complex pockets for cores, cavities, slides, gibs and precision boring for round components. MBI offers rough contour machining services of parting line surfaces as well as larger cross-sectional cavity and core blocks.
In terms of steel grades, MBI offers several options. Our standard grade steels include #1 (ASTM A36), #2 (AISI 4130) and #4 Stainless steel holder block from the 400 series stainless. Specialty steels like Aluminum, S7, H13, P20, and other grades are available upon request.
With a substantial manufacturing facility spanning over 45,000 square feet and an in-house steel inventory exceeding 250 tons of raw material, MBI is well-equipped to produce high-quality custom mold bases tailored to our customers' specific requirements.
